We have had a very successful week of learning! We are working hard to establish our daily norms. Here are a few updates for the upcoming weeks.
Friday Shirt- Friday shirt money is due on Monday. I still have about 7 or 8 students who haven't turned in an order or money. Please do so by Monday if you would like for your child to receive a shirt.
Picture Day- Picture day is this coming Tuesday, August 25. Order forms have been sent home. Please return these or order online. We will be doing individual and class pictures on this day!
Birthdays- In our classroom, birthdays are a week long celebration. Most of the time, students get to have their "star student" week (birthday week) on the week of their birthday. However, sometimes this doesn't work, especially if we have duplicate birthdays, summer birthdays or holiday birthdays. Even if school isn't in session, we still celebrate EVERY birthday. A June birthday might get celebrated in March. Just whenever we can fit it in. I try to give your child enough notice, so that they are prepared for the birthday week festivities. During each child's "star student" week, they are able to have special seating privileges, they are the line leader, they can bring in something for show and tell, the receive a special birthday pin, and they can bring in treats (even if it really isn't their birthday). Treats aren't required, just an option!
Music Program- I realize that this is WAY in advanced, but I wanted to give you a save the date for our music program. This year will will have a more traditional music program (ie: holiday play). The fourth grade performance will be on December 15.
Have a great weekend!
